Spring is here..and we can see it from the bright cheerful orange...yesterday during squash, 2 people wore orange tops whilst 1 wore orange shorts. Today, both me and my colleague sitting behind me wore orange tops...opps...it is really becoming orange days....

I like my red and white checked dress as it is very cheery. However, I don't feel like wearing it much nowadays.

First, I can't wear it to the office, because my colleague has a top which is also red and white checked. And I don't want to be wearing the same pattern as her.

Now, I can't wear it to church too as I saw another girl in church who was wearing the exact same dress that I have!

Perhaps it is only me, but I do not like to be wearing the same attire as another person. So now, I can only wear that dress to other occassions...so one less dress to wear to work and church...

Another new book by Paulo Coelho...Brida...A moving tale of love, passion, mystery, and spirituality...

Note worthy quotes from Brida:

In life, each person can take one of two attitudes: to build or to plant. The builders might take years over their tasks, but one day, they finish what they are doing. Then they find they are hemmed in by their own walls. Life loses its meaning when the building stops.

Then there are those who plant. They endure storms and they rarely rest. But unlike a building, a garden never stops growing. And while it requires a gardener's constant attention, it also allows life for the gardener to be a great adventure.

Gardeners always recognise each other, because they know that in the history of each plant lies the growth of the whole World.

When you find your path, you must not be afraid. You need to have sufficient courage to make mistakes. Disappointment , defeat and despair are the tools to show us the way.

Love doesn't require renunciation. True love allows each other to follow their own path, knowing that they would never lose touch with their loved one.

Seems to be having alot of 小龙包 recently. After almost eating 小龙包 everyday whilst in Taiwan, GM still suggested going 翡翠 for 小龙包. I didn't object as I wanted to compare the 小龙包 at 鼎泰丰with that at 翡翠.

Alas, 鼎泰丰 wins hands down, at least the 鼎泰丰 that I went to in Taipei wins the 翡翠 at Holland V hands down. The folds at the top of the 小龙包 from 翡翠 were too thick and we seem to be just eating the skin.

Our experience at 翡翠 wasn't too enjoyable. We were seated at Level 1 where the chef was preparing the noodles and throwing it at the counter, rattling all the breakables. It really sounds as if someone is constantly trying to hit cockroaches. haha

In addition, the tables were placed so close together that we could hear the couples on the left, right and behind us. To top it off, there were laterns hung on the ceiling, which were turning and making strange shadows over me...it really gave me a headache.

I believe it would be some time before I return.

On the way to work this morning, a normal half an hour journey was extended to an hour, all because of a 2-vehicle accident. Indeed, one may not know that one's small action, would have repercussions for so many people.

Whilst trying to catchup on my sleep on the way to work, I overheard 2 colleagues discussing softly the topic of contraceptives, specifically that used by females. I recall a similar discussion with my excolleagues some weeks back, where PC was
checking for the common methods used in Singapore. LHS said that he and his wife uses "what men don't like to use".

Thinking back to that conversation, the feminist in me started to get upset that the men in this world, for their own satisfaction and enjoyment, subject women to possible unwanted pregnancies and dieases.

I start to feel sorry for the unsuspecting girlfriends out there, who are subject to such dangers, just to humour their boyfriends. And I can feel their anguish when they get dumped by their boyfriends.
