Some may know that I like to try all kinds of mascara...and would buy the local variety whenever I travel. Last year, when I was in Jp, I bought a mascara from Cezanne and I liked it very much...

So I was delighted to find out that Guardian @ Holland V carries the Cezanne brand. Alas! They have all variety of eyeliners but no mascara!!! Sad...wonder whether Cezanne mascara can be found in other Guardian stores...

After a hard day's work....women don't want to think about work anymore...and would want to enjoy their favourite food to relax....

After a hard day's work...men don't want to think about what food to eat...however, they like to play mind-bogging games to relax...

No wonder Mars and venus would battle!

Miss the time when the office was in Orchard, and I could just go opposite the office to get my Old Chang Kee fishballs...of course cannot forget the kind souls who have taken the effort to buy the fishballs for me.

After leaving PW, I thought that I won't get to eat Old Chang Kee fishballs during office hour again....so happy that I got to eat it during office hour again!

Thanks to A for coorinating the delivery of Old Chang Kee for the Finance Dept. Burp!

Due to some birthdays in the month of October, I have been trying to find some nice eating places...chanced upon some websites and now I am left drooling, hoping to visit some of these places...

Nowadays, everytime I meet up with friends, they would ask me, "How is your new job?"

Earlier on, I would have said that I hated it....and I miss the old place...although I had also complained of that place when I first joined more than 2 years ago...

However, I have come to like my new company....

1. Location - It is so much nearer to my place! Taking bus to work everyday takes only half an hour!

2. Ambience - Since the building is only 2 stories high, with wide open spaces....coming to work everyday...feels like coming to a resort!

3. Colleagues - After about 3 months, I have sorta found my place here, although I have not found my clique yet, I would say that I know my place around...

4. Boss - Well, I would say that I am now more comfortable around her...and my fear about getting scolding has decreased..

5. Food - Interesting eating places around...hawker fare, food court @ Vivo, Harborfront, or Anchorpoint

6. Convenience - I can now do abit of shopping ...or banking during lunch hour again.

Since it was Monday evening, we didn't want to venture too far....so GM suggested going to Ice Cream Land.

When we first walked past this place at least a month back, I was attracted by one of the "tables" in this cafe. The table or booth was a skeleton of a coach think Cinderella... However, as I was too full...we just ventured in to take a look without trying their ice-cream flavours which include lavender!

They have 2 varieties of ice cream. Movenpick and their house-brand. I chose their house-brand. 1 scoop for S$3.90, 2 scoops for S$6.90.

The waitress let me try the flavours before making my choice...too bad they don't have lavender that day... So I chose to try wild strawberries and blueberry cheesecake. The wild strawberries were too creamy for my liking, so I asked to try Cookies and Malt.

In the end, I chose Blueberry cheesecake and Cookies and Malt. The presentation of the ice cream could have been better, cos the bowl was too big for our 2 scoops of ice cream.

When I wanted to sit at the "Coach skeleton", the waitress invited me to take a seat further into the restaurant, so I stepped in and saw that they had another table which was a garden swing! I knew I had to sit at this table, and was happily swinging when GM stopped my swinging, complaining that it gave him a headache. :(

Anyway, I would think that this is an interesting theme restaurant that is so lacking in Sg, although I would prefer it if their ice cream is not so creamy.

Relaxed ambience, bosa nova playlist, delicious food and friendly service....until it seems we outstayed our welcome when more tables were filled.

Since there were six of us, we could try a variety of food to share.

Items we tried:
1. Soup of the Day - Brocoli & Cheese
2. Escargot stuffed in white mushroom
3. Papaya and avocado salad
4. Wild mushrooms in backyard greens
5. Pan roasted duck
6. Thai style chicken on French pastry
7. Braised lamb shank
8. Seafood linguine with laksa pesto
9. Mango vanilla and custard trifle
10. Nutella squares with salted caramel
11. The lava

All of us gave the thumbs up for the food. But personally, I didn't really like the duck...However, overrall, this place is worth going again!
