Finally watched Bridget Jones today.

As there has been some new shows recently, not many cinemas were showing it now. Therefore, we had to go on the way to Yishun to watch it. But it's a nice treat to get away from the Orchard madcrowd.

I think it's funny that Renee Zewellger has to put on weight to get into the character. Funny as in not haha funny but ? kind of funny.

I guess it's juz to identify more into the character...cause she is supposed to write in her diary her increasing weight...like all the "uglfying" that Hollywood actress do.

What I mean is what we see in TV is always so unrealistically beautified. Like how many people u c in the streets really look as gorgeous as those u c on TV? But on TV, even the ah-soh have to look nicer than usual.

Anyway, a male fren told me that he went to watch it alone.

I was surprised, I thot it was more a show that guys watch cause they have to accompany their gf to watch it. But then he is somewhat different. A NICE GUY. How do u draw the line? When is a nice guy a nice guy?

Muz he b boring? A walk-over?

I juz think that guys should have confidence. Leave all the self doubt to us girls...as in Bridget Jones...always thinking in the negative...that's me too.

Just watched everyone has a secret at Orchard Cineleisure yesterday.

I started to like Lee Byun Hyun when i watched Beautiful Life. I like him when his fringe is messy. Not when he looks like an oily businessman with hair neatly combed up. Now I'm confused whether I like Jang Dong Gun more or Lee more.

Anyway, in this show, he is sorta a cansonova. The show starts with Sister 3 trying to dump a guy whom she thinks is a wimp. She likes strong guys and thinks nothing of going after the guy she likes.

One day, she met Lee and felt in love with him. After some time, she brings him home and introduce him to her family. It is then he meets her elder sister, Sister 2. Sister 2 is a masters student and is more of the emotional and academic kind. However, Lee is able to use another technique and wins Sister 2's hearts by quoting poets and showing his emotional side too (even tearing at the appropriate moment).

One day, he sees the eldest sister trying on a dress in a shopping mall and compliments that it looks nice on her. By telling her that she deserves to be in love and treasured although she is married, she falls under his spell too.

After watching the show, it reminds me that each of us have a passionate side of us. Therefore, the Lee character in the show managed to bring out this side of all the sisters. This led them to lead more fulfilling and passionate lives.

For the guys, this show presents the fact that there are different methods into different women's heart. You just have to know the character of the woman that you love.

Watched Shark Tale today. It was totally hilarious!!!

Normally, I would not expect much from animation, but this movie proved me wrong!!!

Opps the reviews in the papers were not too good...who cares if I enjoyed it? ;p

Anyway, the movie's main character is Lenny the Shark (Jack Black), who is a vegetarian, unlike other sharks. His father (Lino) is disappointed with him. However, as Lino would like both his sons to inherit his business of ruling the sea, he instructed his other son, Frankie to show Lenny how to kill. However, Frankie is killed in a freak accident when an anchor hits him.

Oscar a little fish happens to be nearby. He takes the opportunity to claim the credit. Therefore, Oscar acsended from the bottom of the chain to the top as he has becomes a celebrity. This has always being his dream.

However, he soon discovers that the sexy fish (Jolie Angelina) that has come his way is only attracted by his fame and supposedly richness. He also realised that his trusty friend, Angie (Renee Zellweger) is the one for him as she had liked him as he was.

Lino also realised that he should accept his son for what he is a vegetarian.

I feel that this movie has the beauty of having 2 messages. The usual happy ending where A discovers that what he thought was good, was actually not so good. Instead what he had was actually better.

The other one is that we should accept our friends, family etc even if they are different. I guess this subtle message is there as many people adopt alternative lifestyles nowadays. However, they are not able to gain acknowlegment from their close ones, therefore they choose to leave. This is a reminder to us that each and everyone of us have a choice to choose our own lifestyle. And others should not judge us just because we are different.
