Watched Shark Tale today. It was totally hilarious!!!

Normally, I would not expect much from animation, but this movie proved me wrong!!!

Opps the reviews in the papers were not too good...who cares if I enjoyed it? ;p

Anyway, the movie's main character is Lenny the Shark (Jack Black), who is a vegetarian, unlike other sharks. His father (Lino) is disappointed with him. However, as Lino would like both his sons to inherit his business of ruling the sea, he instructed his other son, Frankie to show Lenny how to kill. However, Frankie is killed in a freak accident when an anchor hits him.

Oscar a little fish happens to be nearby. He takes the opportunity to claim the credit. Therefore, Oscar acsended from the bottom of the chain to the top as he has becomes a celebrity. This has always being his dream.

However, he soon discovers that the sexy fish (Jolie Angelina) that has come his way is only attracted by his fame and supposedly richness. He also realised that his trusty friend, Angie (Renee Zellweger) is the one for him as she had liked him as he was.

Lino also realised that he should accept his son for what he is a vegetarian.

I feel that this movie has the beauty of having 2 messages. The usual happy ending where A discovers that what he thought was good, was actually not so good. Instead what he had was actually better.

The other one is that we should accept our friends, family etc even if they are different. I guess this subtle message is there as many people adopt alternative lifestyles nowadays. However, they are not able to gain acknowlegment from their close ones, therefore they choose to leave. This is a reminder to us that each and everyone of us have a choice to choose our own lifestyle. And others should not judge us just because we are different.
