Years ago, M n I went to 南翔 and the food was so terrible that I never returned. Today, whilst shopping at Bugis, GM suggested going to 南翔 as he said he read that they have revamped by bringing in real Shanghainese chefs. Today, we ordered:

1. King sized crab roe steamed soup bun
2. Homemade beancurd
3. Nanxiang dumpling noodle soup

GM and I went to Shanghai separately and had different experiences at 南翔 in Yuyuan. We thought the super big sized 小笼包 would be nice to try here, but it wasn't all that great. I would say I wasn't too impressed.
