We took the train to 瑞芳, then transferred to a bus to bring us up to 九份, the bus was crowded but it was good that we found seats at the back of the bus and could take a short nap whilst the bus goes through the jam...I think everyone was going up to 九份 that day!
True enough, when we reached the top, we realised that the street was packed with people, and we found it difficult to stop and browse in the shops. But luckily, we managed to find the charcoal peanuts that was recommended. Next, we found a place serving 芋圓which was not too crowded hence, we found seats and were served almost immediately.
After walking some more, our stomachs started to protest and we stopped by a stall which we thought was not too crowded, but alas! We still had to wait for empty tables! By the time we had a table, we were starving...each of us ordered a bowl of 牛肉面, and we were soon slurping our soups happily.
We then made our way to the bus stop, however, we found that the buses were all too crowded and didn't stop at the bus stop, hence GM decided to grab a cab instead, and we were soon on the train back to 台北车站。
After standing for the whole train journey, GM was adamant that we should have some good food, for dinner so we went to 勝博殿(a highly recommended restaurant) for pork cutlet, however, GM who doesn't like fried stuff was not too impressed...
It was about 5pm when we took the MRT to 剑潭站 to go to 士林夜市,for supper, we had 臭豆腐, 蚵仔煎 etc
