Last National Day, I was in a frenzy to watch the fireworks, both from the Fireworks festival and National Day Parade. I have done strange things like go to Marina South and up HDB blocks to watch the fireworks....
This year, however, I do not have any special plans to go fireworks watching....I've heard the fireworks for 2 weeks, either at home or at a friend's place....think they were "released" at JE central and Chinese Garden....both times I only HEARD them....but didn't manage to see them. :(
Yesterday, however, I managed to catch a little glimpse of some fireworks...I was at Central....waiting for KX when I saw many people running in a certain direction....when I realised that it could be the fireworks from the National Day rehearsal / preview...I followed the crowd to be in a better position to see them...alas, my view was blocked by a building in front...and could only see the fireworks which were of a certain height....haiz....
KX, who was on her way from Clarke Quay to meet me....managed to see them....Lucky her!
Anyway, Central was abit disappointing....although there were plenty of crowds...and a number of eating places...the shopping was nothing spectacular....as the eating places were quite crowded...we decided to head over to Clarke Quay....the place was also very crowded with both tourists and locals...
Clarke Quay seems so interesting now, compared to the last time I came...the reverse bungee was also having brisk business...we finaly settled at TCC, which was also where we went the last time I was at Clarke Quay...
Interestingly, both KX and I felt that Clarke Quay reminds us of Xiaotiandi in Shanghai....
