Heard recently that a male fren had been written off for being "improper" during one of the group drinking sessions... ... As I was not there, I don't really know how "improper" he was...or how drunk he was...
It set me thinking whether all males are hum sump uncles.....so once stripped of their self-consciousness / defence, the real them emerges? I know some people sleep when they are drunk, some can't stop talking, others dance ...
I believe that all of us lose some of our inhibitions after having some liquor inside us but how do we draw the line when we go drinking with our male frens? Or how do our male frens know how far they can go?
I've had the experience of feeling uncomfortable when dancing with frens after a few drinks... so I know how it feels...however, at that time...it was easier for me cos that guy stopped his actions after I frowned at him...I didn't really mention this to any of the other frens and up to now, I can still look the guy in the eye...and I believe that he now knows my limit and has been behaving himself (at least in front of me) in the other occasions when he drinks. So I believe that this guy is still a decent guy...
But on the issue of the fren who was written off...does it matter whether he was making use of his supposedly drunkness or really drunk?
Does his actions during his drunkenness show the true him?
I really don't know...so my conclusion to this episode is
1. We should not try to make our frens drink so much that they become drunk
2. We should not let ourselves get drunk (even when we are with trusty frens)
