This is the 3rd week in my new job...and I already feel that there r many things to do and with deadlines too! Well, think there is a price to pay for such a challenging job! I even try to spend some of my free time reading up on work related topics...this is the motivation that I couldn't find in my old job!
On my first day of work, I found out that there was an IS guy who was also starting work in the company the same day as me. It is quite comforting cos he reminds me of an excolleague, whom we called "Auntie Kim"...who has been very nice to me.
Thru this IS guy and the orientation program, I had a chance to meet the other relatively new entrants to the company...I m not sure whether the problem is with me...but I find that I enjoy myself more when I am with these new entrants compared to the "older" colleagues in my dept....
I hope that thru time, I will be able to assimilate into my dept, cos right now...they still talk amongst themselves....
Anyway, as I was having lunch with the 2 IS guys from my orientation program, I realised that all of us have the same "experience"...
1. We were all not totally keen to join the company, but since the co selected us...we decided to give it a try.
2. We feel that we are very different compared to our colleagues here...(ok, them at least) cos they said that their dept is totally quiet....seems like their colleagues do not talk.
3. We used to come from friendly and fun environments.
Anyway...I will try and fit in!
Meanwhile, I shall continue to blog on the things I don't like about this new place. :P
1. The toilet sucks....the toilet bowl is rectangular but the toilet seat is oval. So, if u sit on the seat like normal, u will touch the edges of the toilet bowl sticking out from under the oval seat. Double yucks!
2. The water pressure from the cistern is so strong that the water will spray out when u flush. Triple yucks!
